EES Switzerland and Germany were founded by Dr.-Ing. Diethard Hansen who has been their president since 1991.

| EES specializes in solutions for all areas of electronics applications, electromagnetic compatibility, interference control for printed circuit boards, equipment and complete systems/installations.
Clients are helped by international consulting, auditing, high-tech marketing, training, innovative EMC test products, accredited testing as well as intensive R & D.
Some of the technical responsibilities of Dr. Diethard Hansen include being an independent Principal Consultant and Assessor under EURO EMC SERVICE (EES), based just outside Zurich, Switzerland. Some of the other technical work areas include electrical safety, radiation hazards, specific absorption rate tests in mobile communications (SAR, EMF), radio, automotive, military and medical. Dr. Hansen also designs and negotiates EMC and Telecom laboratories.
Dr. Diethard Hansen: Dr. Diethard Hansen received his Bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Germany in Esslingen a.N. and Berlin, respectively. Dr. Hansen has over 20 years of industrial EMC/NEMP experience. This includes 60 patents (e.g. GTEM, EURO TEM test cells as now per IEC 61000-4-20), 160 professional technical publications, as well as numerous international session chairmanships, assigned to him.

Apart from the above, Dr. Hansen's professional activities are in standardization: IEEE/EMC, CENELEC, ETSI, IEC/CISPR and national EMC Committees. He is also a lead auditor, technical expert and assessor trainer for EMC and Telecom labs.
Dr. Hansen has held an Extra Class HAM radio license since 1968: DK2VQ/HB9CVQ.

Dr. Hansen frequently assesses EU EMC/RTTE Directive Competent Bodies, Notified Bodies and Certification Assessment Bodies (CAB), Telecom Certification Bodies (TCB) under the EU-mutual recognition agreements (MRA) with non EU member states. |

Dr. Hansen audits all EMC/R&TTE areas. This includes telecom/radio as well as specific absorption rate (SAR) test facilities for mobile phone and wireless industry, Blue-Tooth (BT) and for the Automotive Manufacturer (AEMCLRP: Ford, GM, Daimler-Chrysler), both under the German DAR and European accreditation (EA, www.european-accreditation.org) system. In 2001 he obtained EA recognition for all EU related countries. |
